Great news - our EU roaming prices are dropping again.

Following further discussions with the regulatory folk in Brussels, the prices for roaming in the EU are set for another decrease. It’s all happening on 28th April, and you don’t need to do anything but enjoy the new rates when you travel into the EU.

From the 28th April there will be 2 different sets of prices for the EU:

  • Prices if you have a goodybag/gigabag on the go
  • Prices if you don’t, i.e. you’re using your pay-as-you-go credit

If you fall in the 1st group and have an active goodybag, the prices are coming right down. If you don’t have an active goodybag, there’s only a minor change, but for the most part you’ll continue to use the current aligned UK/ EU rates. Full details when roaming in the EU are below:

Please note that no usage will be deducted from your goodybag allowance, with the charges still requiring credit in your account balance.

On a goodybag:

Not on a goodybag:

There’s no change to the cost of calling a country outside of the EU.

Hopefully this comes in time for any late spring / early summer trips planned. You may receive a text message announcing the good news in the coming days.

About the on goodybag prices:

Will the charges come out of the goodybag or still be charged from airtime credit???

Dan, I assume from Gary's post that charges still come from member's airtime balance, regardless, albeit at a reduced rate providing a goody/gigabag is also present.

Yeah that what I was thinking however folks ain't gonna like it having to top up twice.

So for me £22 top up

£12 goodybag

£10 airtime credit

£22 total.

And the bag 🎒 would be wasted as well because you'd be loosing out on the contents of the bag 🎒
